Theatre Tillsonburg is pleased to offer a number of special programs for Tillsonburg and the surrounding community.

Teen Theatre

Summer Program – Ages 13 to 19 years old.

Every year to close our regular season, Theatre Tillsonburg presents… Teen Theatre! Two adult overseers work with groups of talented teens in all aspects of putting on a production. From producing and directing to acting, costumes, makeup, props, lighting and sound, every part of the production is managed by teens. Open auditions start the process, just as in adult theatre and all of the elements come together at the end of August when Teen Theatre opens the doors to put on their performance for paying audiences. This program develops an appreciative under-standing of theatre as an art form, provides opportunities for creative and interpretive expression and provides an excellent social atmosphere for youth.

This fun and exciting program has produced many of Theatre Tillsonburg’s memorable performances.

Theatre Camp

Summer Program – Ages 5 to 12 years old.

Each year Theatre Tillsonburg is pleased to present an opportunity for young children to truly experience all aspects of the theatre. Children are organized into groups according to age. The program for 5-7 year olds is structured as a day camp and includes activities such as co-operative games, theatre games, songs, poems, stories, crafts, and activities. The program for 8-9 and 10-12 year olds is structured in a series of theatre workshops and focuses on the different aspects of performance both on and off the stage. All sessions are 1 week in length.
