PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
| Our goal at Theatre Tillsonburg is to provide audiences with truly unforgettable theatre experiences. We promote and develop amateur theatre here in Tillsonburg and the surrounding communities with highly entertaining productions and a variety of other theatre programs such as our summer Theatre Camp and Teen Theatre programs. The magical moments we offer our patrons are created through an eclectic mix of rousing musicals, light hearted comedies, and poignant dramas. This season is no exception. Our 2010 / 2011 season features the award winning musical Cabaret, the hilarious comedy Funny Money and the acclaimed murder mystery I’ll Be Back Before Midnight. In addition, Theatre Tillsonburg is proud to host the 2011 Western Ontario Drama League’s Minifest on the last weekend in July. I am extremely proud to be part of such an exciting organization filled with so many talented personalities. Our success as a group is achieved only through the hard work and dedication of a much larger cast than our audience ever get to see grace our stage at the Otter valley Playhouse. I would like to thank all of our volunteers who make these productions possible, from our front of house staff, to production staff and crew, actors and all those who put in many hours “behind the scenes”. Remember it’s not magic that brings you the quality performances that you see here at Theatre Tillsonburg. It’s the result of many dedicated, hard working individuals who have a passion for theatre. The actors may get all the glory but it takes the talents of many volunteers to make our shows successful. If you have ever wanted to learn the art of stagecraft, create the worlds our audiences are transported to through lighting, sound, set design or construction or help out in other ways, we always welcome fresh new faces.
